is one of the mst dynamic young artists working today.
She has been featured in nearly 20 museum shows, including
As Wishing Still Helped, a critically acclaimed solo exhibit
of three-dimensional pieces at the Columbus Museum of
Art.
In 2005 she was inspired by images in one of Da Vinci's
notebooks and designed the Sunlight and Moonlight rug,
which is currently on display at the Weston Art Gallery
in Cincinnati. Palay turned to Shangri-La Rugs to transform
her artistic vision into a reality.
"DiVinci was always up to something new. Sunlight
and moonlight are always new. I wanted to try something
new and I just love fine carpets!" Xan Palay,2005
